A talk on Australian wildlife.
This is the newest addition to Gianpiero's amazing talks. It is from his last trip to a fantastic country: Australia.
It was a seven week, 7,800 km trip. Starting in South Western Australia, photographing the endemic birds, beautiful weird flowers and the stunning south western orchids of the Stirling mountain range. A long drive across the Nullabor Desert Nation Park stopping at the famous Heyre Birds Observatory. Then to South Australia visiting several national parks, rich in wildlife, especially the colourful cockatoo and finally finishing the journey at the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
Gianpiero is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and has been interested in nature for many years. He started wildlife photography about 25 years ago and he loves every aspect natural history, from the smallest flowers to the larger mammals. He has won several; national competitions, and some of his work has been used in many publications for example BBC Wildlife magazine, RSPB calendars and Collins field guidebooks. He has been travelling abroad through Europe, Sri Lanka, USA, Africa and his favourite place - Australia.
