Are you inspired by the patterns formed in urban architecture? If you can capture your favourite patterns from the streets of Loughborough in a photograph you post on Instagram, you could bag yourself 300 Euros.
BE OPEN, a creative think-tank founded by the international entrepreneur and philanthropist Elena Baturina, has just launched its next global Instagram “open call”. The project aims to unleash the creative ability to see beyond the reality and spot the art in our everyday urban environment.
The open call - #BEOPENUrbanPattern aims to explore the way a creative approach may transform people’s perception of urban landscapes. BE OPEN (@beopenfuture) wants entrants to share their love and unique vision of their cities by capturing in an Instagram post the patterns that cities create around us.
The project is based on the idea that cities often project “accidental” patterns that are sometimes more intricate and interesting than those planned by professional designers and architects. Competition entrants should share the visuals via Instagram using the #BEOPENUrbanPattern hashtag. Be Open will regram the entries to its 11k+ followers too. The contest is open for submissions until October 10, 2017.
The winner will be selected by the BE OPEN Community jury from a shortlist comprised of submissions with the highest ratings of likes by Instagram users. The winner will receive EUR 300 in prize money.
